Brock the Tiger by Lucy C

There once lived a tiger, who had the fur of a golden orange; the roar of an engine. He ran up the trees like a jet to get his meat! The poor tiger had no owner or family. He was left on his own since he was born, his mother and father were taken to the zoo and the circus but they decided that the little cub wasn’t good enough or useful to be in the circus or zoo, so he got left alone for 15 years. He eventually met some nice people to take care of him and that’s how this story begins.

After many years with this family he felt like these were his parents. They named him “Brock”. The whole family loved him. Thomas, who was eight, always loved cuddling Brock. However Mr Brown was not really happy letting a tiger live in his home, luckily he was a way most of the time because he was a lawyer. There was Mrs Brown who loved Brock soo much. Avia wasn’t sure at first neither was Emmi but they got used to him and When Mr Brown wasn’t there, all four of them would have parties and only when Mr Brown couldn’t be bothered arguing with his family about Brock, he would have a party with the whole family and of course Brock is family.

As the days went on the Brown family were more closer than ever before. Meanwhile Brocks mum and dad couldn’t stay in the circus or the zoo for very long so that meant they would become wild animals again! A few days later he recieved a letter from the circus saying ” he can go back to his parents again and live in the wild”. Brock didn’t really remember anything about his parent and he loved the Brown family and certainly didn’t want to leave them after everything they did for him. So Brock decided to show Mrs Brown the letter, Mrs Brown suggested Brock went back to his real parents but Brock wasn’t sure. Mr Brown heard what was being said and Mr Brown being Mr Brown said Brock had to go; that’s not what the family wanted at all though! After reading the letter many times they all decided that the  best thing for Brock was for him to go back to his real parents.

Two days after Brock had left the Browns family, two tigers arrived at the front door of the Brown family house, Mr and Mrs Tiger. The Browns family guessed they were Brocks parents. They asked the Browns very nicely ” where was their son?” Mrs Brown didn’t know what to say and invited them in for tea and explained that Brock had already left. Brocks parents understood what  the Browns were saying and didn’t have a go at them so Mr Tiger and Mrs Tiger set of looking for their missing son. The next day there was a knock on the door and Mrs Brown opened the door and to her amazement it was Brock! Mrs Brown told Brock about his parents calling round and suggested to Brock that she  writes a letter to Mr Tiger and Mrs Tiger saying “your son stopped by and is staying in the warm until you come around and collect him”.

A few days later, the door bell rang and a voice came from behind the door “Were here to collect our son”. Mrs Brown was certain it was Brocks  parents and it was. Brock came down and met his family for the first time. They were thrilled to see him and were so excited for the amazing future they would have together. The Browns family knew they would miss Brock even Mr Brown but they new it was the right thing to do. Every week the Browns received a letter through their post box from Brock writing how wonderful his new home in the wild is. He wrote ” I’m still missing u but I’ll come visiting very soon” signed Brock! xx

The Grey Hyena! By Lucy C

There was once a grey hyena, who loved eating sandwiches and climbing mountains. Greg, the grey hyena, was only miserable when he couldn’t climb mountains on rainy days. However it doesn’t matter what the weather is like, nothing can stop him eating his beloved sandwiches.

Greg, who is a cheeky hyena,  went to a friend’s party and messed up the whole event. They were getting ready to sing happy birthday when cheeky Greg, who for some strange reason had turned up on roller-skates, tumbled into the birthday cake. His friend Luke, whose birthday it was, was heartbroken to see what had happened.
